Testimonials
Taylor Cleare
Taylor Cleare is a former student of Earl Graves School of Business & Management at Morgan State University. She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
During her time at Morgan State, Taylor served as a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Caribbean Student Association, and National Society of Leadership & Success. Taylor joined Calvert Street Investment Partners as a member of the 2021 and 2022 Fellowship Program cohorts while pursuing her bachelor’s degree. Since successfully completing the Fellowship Program and graduating from Morgan State, Taylor began a full-time position as an Audit Associate for Kearney & Company.
“This Fellowship has helped me understand finance on a deeper level. It taught me so many new shortcuts in Excel. Although I stepped into the field of accounting for my career, a lot of my base knowledge has come from building financial models. The Fellowship taught me how to bring together a company’s expense and earnings reports, which the firm later explained would help decide if it’s a good company to invest in.”
“Calvert Street Investment Partners has been nothing but supportive throughout this Fellowship. Although the program was supposed to last 10 weeks, due to personal reasons I couldn’t complete it during that time. The firm was patient enough to extend my time and welcomed me with grace. I will never forget this internship or firm!”
Merinio Dendoe
Merinio Dendoe is a former student-athlete at Morgan State University. He graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Following graduation, Merinio returned to Morgan to earn his MBA as he completed the remainder of his eligibility as an NCAA Division I athlete and senior leader for the Morgan State football team.
During his time at Morgan, Merinio was a four-year starter for the football team as well as a member of Morgan State’s National Fintech Center where he participated in data analytics boot camps and received certifications in Tableau and Google Ads. Merinio joined Calvert Street Investment Partners as a member of the 2022 Fellowship Program cohort while pursuing his master’s degree as a fifth-year student-athlete. Since successfully completing the Fellowship Program and graduating with his MBA, Merinio secured a full-time position as a Budget Analyst for the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine’s Chemistry Department.
“I had a great experience at Calvert Street through the Fellowship Program. The Fellowship Program offered me hands on experience and mentorship. It gave me direct access to industry professionals due to its close-knit environment. I was welcomed by the team with open arms and felt like I made a tangible impact within the organization.”
“During the Fellowship Program I was blessed to work directly with Andy John and Ayisha Thompson, where I received an introduction to business writing, resume refinement and the interview process. I also earned financial modeling certification levels I & II through Adventis. This experience sets me apart from other students due to the difficulty of receiving these certificates.”
